Benefits are only offered to candidates who fill a permanent vacancy.SUMMARY OF DUTIESUnder the direction of the Bus Operations Supervisor, operates a school bus in the transportation of students to and from school or field trips following designated routes in accordance with time schedules; assure bus is in safe operating condition by conducting daily vehicle inspections; maintains student discipline; assures the safety of students; maintains related records, and performs other related duties as required.
EDUCATION: Graduation from high school or equivalency is desirable.EXPERIENCE: Experience as a school bus driver is desirable. LICENSES/CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a valid Class A or B, California Commercial Driver License with Passenger, School Bus, and Air Brake Endorsements and without a restriction for automatic transmission only; A current DL-51a Medical Examiner's Certificate; A California Special Driver Certificate designated for School Bus (with no restrictions for Air Brakes and/or Conventional Type-II buses only) issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles; and A valid first aid certificate comparable to the American Red Cross Standard First Aid Certificate. Applicants with a license/certificate restriction for automatic transmission only must successfully complete training to upgrade (remove restriction) within the probationary period. A good driving record is required and applicants must provide the District with a copy of their current ten year driving record (DMV Form H-6) at the time of application. Incumbents must be able to be insured, and continue to be insurable, by the District's liability insurance carrier. This classification has been designated as safety-sensitive in accordance with the drug and alcohol testing requirements adopted by the District pursuant to Board Policy 4212.42. NOTERequired documents / certificates must be submitted to the Personnel Commission at time of submission of application. All original documents will be returned. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
