Position
Summary:

The Maintenance Technician II position is responsible for providing maintenance support to a Bubble Extrusion Plant. The candidate must have a strong background in controls (PLC) and electrical troubleshooting, mechanical processes, and pneumatic and hydraulic systems. A basic understanding of bulk material transport equipment to include loaders, hoppers, and vacuum system is desired. The candidate should possess basic computer skills, have a good work ethic, and be safety minded with the ability to work in a group environment or independently. A basic understanding of Continuous Improvement is a plus.

Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

These essential functions indicate the general nature and level of work expected in this position.   • Takes a very active role in ensuring safety and changes needed for an accident free environment
  • Maintains, tests, and repairs continuous manufacturing equipment including Extruders, bag making equipment and other various electrical/electronic systems and facility/building systems and equipment.
  • Lead, train, motivate and direct people
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Troubleshoot
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Fabricates new parts and repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment that includes, but is not limited to, knee mill, lathe, and welding.
  • Orders replacement parts and equipment for machines, within prescribed dollar limits, as necessary.
  • Applies an extensive and practical experience and knowledge base to develop alternative solutions to difficult and unusual machinery problems and assignments.
  • Participates in continuous improvement events to increase process efficiency.
  • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by enforcing regulations.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and ensures compliance to all corporate guidelines & policies.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Two-year technical degree preferred

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Industrial Electronics or related field
  • Experience with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers
  • Strong electrical background
  • Millwork, machine work, and welding experience preferred

  • Experience using a computer (SAP, MS Office experience desired)
  • Ability to drive a forklift

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to frequently lift up to 40lbs
  • Able to constantly work in a non-conditioned environment
  • Able to frequently ascend/descend a ladders/stairs as required to repair equipment

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
